ADBUC 2013 - Genda' Blenda'

I've taken the reins of the Australia Day Beach Ultimate Championships (ADBUC)... and tampered with it.

In homage to the last Gender Blender in Canada, this years theme for the ADBUC will mimic. It will be Turf and Surf... Sat on grass, Sun on Sand. A powered campsite will be part of your team fee, and your team will need to have a team blender drink, a game to play to win the drink, and be dressed and decorated accordingly. Teams will need to bring tents, tables, and blenders at minimum.

8 Teams, suggested rosters of 10

8 powered campsites (all next to one another) at Belongil Fields (one campsite per team)

Sat - played on turf, 7 on 7 mixed ultimate (4:3) round robin action.

Sun - played on sand, 5 on 5 mixed ultimate (3:2) crossovers, semi's and finals.

Sat night - Genda' Blenda' party  -In homage to 'The Last Gender Blender' in Canada, each team will need to have a theme, a blender drink, a game which partiers play to earn the drink, decorations, and music.  Revelers will cruise from one site to the next until they have had their fill, or found a place to stop.

Sun night - (Mon is public holiday) - Sun night will be out in Byron for team trivia, dinner and drinks at the Buddah Bar, and return to the campsites late night for a campfire (as long as there are no fire restrictions at the time)

Rego is first in best dressed.... until Jan 18... at which point your full team fee needs to be received, or 'next in line' will have the option to trump your bid.

What you'll need to bring: tent and sleeping gear, ultimate gear, BLENDER, table, a creative game to play within the confined of your campsite, table, music player..... whatever else you think will be awesome.

Prizes for:  Best Drink, Best Game, Best Theme, Spirit, MVP on field, MVP at party, trivia, ADBUC championship.

Single day and non-player fees

For those that can only play 1 day - the player fee is reduced
Saturday only - $30 or $20 opting out of dinner and the dance
Sunday only - $20

For any family or friends that want to enjoy the tourney without playing Ultimate the non-player pass includes meals, snacks and the party entry for $45
Saturday only - $35 or $15 opting out of dinner and the dance
Sunday only - $15

2012 Player Fees explained and discounted

The ADBUC team is excited to offer a discounted player fee for 2012

If your team (via your captain) pays all their player fees by the due date of Tuesday 3rd January you will get a $10 on-time discount. Reducing the player fee to $45 each.

Add to this our opt out options we believe we have given you the power to create your own tourney experience - no fills and keeping the budget low or adding in some of the extras that everyone likes and that you might have paid for anyway.

A reminder that the 2012 Opt Out options are Saturday night's dinner and dance for $20

So...

• if your team registers (afda site and team fee) by 23rd Dec - your team saves $100
• if your team pays all the player fees by 3rd Jan - you save $10
• and if you want to save more or have a dinner date on the Saturday night - you can opt out and save $20

Player fee (helps for a 2nd day of Ultimate)

Announcing - Players fees will be an opt-out arrangement of $30 per player

with Saturday dinner, Saturday night drinks, Sunday brunch and Sunday lunch all on the opt out list.

Communication with your captain will allow for the quickest and easiest way to pay the right player fee amount.
